Flesh and the Spirit
I listened to a seven-minute sermon on YouTube by David Wilkerson and it has reached into my soul.
I listened to a seven-minute sermon on YouTube by David Wilkerson and it has reached into my soul. The battle rages strong between emotions (carnal) – lonely, alone, wanting affection – and my spirit that hungers and thirsts to draw near to my Lord. I have never been content to be just a name on the “church book.” I know that nobody will stumble into Heaven. We must KNOW HIM and BE OBEDIENT. I want to be immersed in His Spirit and used mightily for the furtherance of the gospel. May He heal my busy mind and help me to draw near to Him, every moment of the day. There is nothing I want more in this life than to be a bright and shining light for the Kingdom of God. To have triumphed after what I came through and not share the victory with other struggling Christians would do a tremendous injustice to my God and deny others countless opportunities to increase their faith. We must never forget the importance of being His hands of mercy, His heart of love, His forgiver of wrongs, HIS EXAMPLE.
