I’ve learned along the way that in a Christian’s life, nothing is by chance. Our lives are ruled by it. Ecclesiastes 9:11 tells us that “…the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; BUT TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENTH TO THEM ALL.” We must never forget that God makes ALL THINGS work together for good to THEM THAT LOVE GOD, to them WHO ARE THE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE (Romans 8:28), even when, and most particularly IF it doesn’t go as we planned. He does things in HIS time, not ours. Why? Because He always knows best. In our patience we possess our souls (Luke 21:19). Standing still and waiting on God is an attribute very few possess, and I am in that number. We must NEVER forget that the ONLY objective in our lives as Christians is to BRING GLORY TO GOD. He, alone, knows the RIGHT time for something to take place that will bring Him the most glory. “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” (Hebrews 10:36) Lord, thank you that I am seeing the fruit of my patience to wait on you!
